COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A crowd of about 100 people gathered at the Ohio attorney general’s office to call for the release of store security video in the fatal police shooting of a man at a Dayton-area Wal-Mart.

Organizers tell the Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/1rjRYCr ) they want to see what happened on Aug. 5 when 21-year-old John Crawford III was fatally shot by police. Officers say he refused to drop an air rifle inside a Wal-Mart store in Beavercreek.

The group that gathered Monday night in Columbus called for transparency in the investigation, which is being headed by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, a branch of Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office.

DeWine’s spokeswoman Jill Del Greco says she’s not aware of any plans to release video before the case is closed.
